  • A lot of the forward bends have cousins as such in standing forward bends, but have a different gravitational force
  • Seat forward bends are more quietening that their standing cousins as they are more stable thus giving more to the forward motion
  • Janu Sirsasana is best before pascimottanasana, as it helps to reign the hips/lower back.
  • Janu Sirsasana and Pascimottanasana, should be mastered before attempting Prasarita Padottanasana (extended leg stretch) or Parsvotanasana (side stretch)
  • Hare pose/Sarvangasana is great prep for headstand
  • Baddha Konasana can be done before and after Virasana as the leg thigh rotation is the opposite
  • Uttanasana taught before Padangusthasana and padhastasana
