Seated and kneeling asanas - Main indications for adjustment.
- Rounded Back and/or very high knees
- Breath, not smooth and even
- Collapsing through the spine
- Knee or ankle issues can make it difficult for eg Padmasana, sukhasana
- Back issues should use a blanket under sit bones to aid lower back
- Sciatica could be an issues and possibly use Egyptian pose in extreme cases.
- In seat poses normally if there is an issues/difficulties in one there is an alternative that can be done, this will vary on the person and their needs.
- Reclining poses can place great pressure of knees and ankles, so injuries here must be careful. People with lower back issues need to be aware.
- Lots props with blankets, bolsters,
- Pregnancy need to be reminded
- Blood pressure high or low, encourages blood low up, so may need to be careful coming out.
- Knees in the air require more blankets to be sat on
- Hunched back
