Site Philosophy On this site you can read some articles or opinions which captured my attention and been taught by my teachers. We don´t want to sound like everything we write here is the absolute truth. Everybody is on a different level and every person has "his own truth" - our intention is not to disprove it. Everything what we write here is only our opinion ( or an opinion of other people, whose names are written with their articles ).
So if the meaning of anything written on the site attracts somebody´s attention or even helps someone to do the next step on his/her spiritual journey, then this site also makes sense . .
About Rod
He has been practicing Yoga a few days a week for several years and, like many people, the physical aspect was why he initially entered Yoga. Rod's experience with Yoga dates back to the early 1980s as a teenager. He was first introduced to yoga as a teenager to help me recover from a serious back injury. Yoga didn’t mean much to him then, just a means to an end to regain strength and mobility.
Later, in 1998, Rod commenced practicing Yoga at a gym in North Sydney and consistently attended class for approximately two years. He then moved to Melbourne, had a break from Yoga and focused on downhill Mountain bike riding. After gaining a number of injuries through Mountain biking, Rod recommenced Yoga a couple of years ago. By and large, Rod's approach to Yoga was as physical fitness training to help build better core strength and flexibility to improve his mountain biking.
Then a couple of years ago, Rod attended one of Andrew Mournehis’ http://www.yoga-retreats.org/andrew_mournehis_retreats classes and really discovered the importance of yoga to him. Andrew’s attention to individual needs and detail of instruction, and thought provoking questions, leaves students feeling positive, nurtured and empowered. At this point Rod realized, that Yoga was more than just physical exercise.
Since then, Rod have been drawn more deeply into the yoga practices. He have increased his Yoga practice to daily sessions, 6-7 days a week. Of course he commenced the Adv Dip Yoga Teaching course at Melbourne CAE and the Yoga journey continues.
